Eliana creates drawings and paintings based on themes of botanical research, distortion, and an imperfect mix of organic and non-organic figures. Surrounded by the serene natural aspects of Wisconsin landscapes accompanied by the busyness of the city of Milwaukee, she has prioritized experimenting with such themes to describe the relationships between both. Additionally, she has aimed to highlight indigenous plants in Wisconsin in her ongoing series “I Think of Plants all the Time”. Her mediums range from charcoal to oil paint with the goal of creating intense value and bold colors. Recently completing a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Eliana has participated in many group exhibitions across the United States. These exhibitions include GROTA Visions in Tucson, Arizona, ‘Small Works//Big Impressions’ in Chicago, Illinois, and many more in her hometown of Milwaukee.
